A concrete masonry block is manufactured with an opening which extends perpendicular to the exterior face of the block into communication with a hollow core. The opening is manufactured during the block molding process such that the block is a pre-manufactured item that can be incorporated into an architect's building specification. The electrical box receives a conduit extending through the hollow core to facilitate the interior wiring of the electrical box.
