A tool for threading a rope through a distant eye or around an object out of reach, such as for elevating tarps into trees, or placing fall protection lines, or securing a distant object. The tool has two curved arms that extend out from the body in unison and converge at a point where the end of the rope is passed from one arm to the other. The arms are then retracted back into the body, pulling the rope through the eye or around the object. The arms are extended by pulling one control line and retracted by pulling a second control line. The tool is typically mounted on the end of a pole, although other mountings are possible. The shape of the tool enables ropes to be threaded through a large number of eye configurations and around objects of varying sizes, even if there are obstructions adjacent the eye.
L'invention concerne un outil destiné à passer une corde à travers un anneau distant ou autour dun objet hors datteinte, par exemple pour hisser des bâches dans des arbres, mettre en place des lignes antichute ou immobiliser un objet distant. Loutil est doté de deux bras incurvés qui se déploient simultanément à partir du corps et convergent en un point où lextrémité de la corde est passée dun bras à lautre. Les bras sont alors de nouveau rétractés dans le corps, tirant la corde à travers lanneau ou autour de lobjet. Les bras sont déployés en tirant sur une première ligne de commande et rétractés en tirant sur une deuxième ligne de commande. Loutil est typiquement monté à lextrémité dune perche, bien que dautres montages soient possibles. La forme de loutil permet de passer des cordes à travers un grand nombre de configurations danneaux et autour dobjets de tailles variables, même en présence dobstacles au voisinage de lanneau.
