ABSTRACT A process is disclosed for deinking pulp which has been made from paper printed with flexographic ink. The process uses a surfactant component made from a fatty acid or a fatty acid blend and at least one alkoxylated diamine selected from Formula I: Image Formula I where X, Y, W and Z may be alike or different and are each independently selected from the group consisting of (i) -(CH2-CH(CH3)-O)a(CH2-CH2-O)b-; (ii) -(CH2-CH2)-O)o(CH2-CH(CH3)-O)d-; and (iii) random copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, wherein a, b, c and d are each selected independently to be a number between 1 and 30 so as to give an HLB value between 5 - 15.
