The invention relates to an impulse generator for a rock breaking tool, the impulse generator (2) comprising a main chamber (4) for receiving a first pressurizeable fluid volume (6), an in the main chamber (4) received impulse piston (8) which is arranged for transfer of pressure energy in the fluid volume (6) into impulses in the tool (10), and a on the side opposite the main chamber (4) side of the impulse piston (8) situated prepressurizing chamber (12) for receiving a second pressurizeable fluid volume (14), where the impulse generator (2) further comprises a on the side opposite the main chamber (4) side of the impulse piston (8) situated pressure relief chamber (16) for receiving a third pressurizeable fluid volume (18), where the relationship between the pressurizing pressures in the fluid volumes (6,14,18) and the rela¬ tions between the areas of the impulse piston (8) facing the chambers (4,12,16) are such that pressurizing of at least the prepressurizing chamber (12) displaces the impulse piston (8) in the direction towards the main chamber (4) and the pressure in the main chamber (4) effects a pressure increase in the pressure relief chamber (16) when the prepressurizing chamber (12) is depressurized, whereby the depressurizing rate in the pressure relief chamber (16) and the velocity of the then transferred pressure impulse into the tool (10) are increased (12). The invention also relates to a hydraulic tool comprising an impulse generator (2), and a method for generation of impulses in a rock breaking tool.
L'invention concerne un générateur d'impulsions destiné à un outil brise-roches. Le générateur d'impulsions (2) comprend une chambre principale (4) destinée à recevoir un premier volume (6) de fluide compressible; un piston (8) d'impulsion, reçu dans la chambre principale (4) et qui transfère l'énergie de compression du volume (6) de fluide afin de produire des impulsions dans l'outil (10); et, à l'opposé du piston (8) d'impulsions de la chambre principale (4), une chambre de précompression (12) destinée à recevoir un deuxième volume (14) de fluide compressible. Le générateur d'impulsions (2) comprend en outre, à l'opposé du piston (8) d'impulsion de la chambre principale (4), une chambre (16) de détente destinée à recevoir un troisième volume (18) de fluide compressible. Le rapport entre les pressions de compression des volumes (6, 14, 18) de fluide et les rapports entre les surfaces du piston (8) d'impulsion face aux chambres (4, 12, 16) sont tels que la compression de la chambre (12) de précompression au moins permet de déplacer le piston (8) d'impulsion en direction de la chambre principale (4); et la pression dans la chambre principale entraîne une augmentation de la pression dans la chambre (16) de détente lors de la décompression de la chambre de précompression (12), ce qui a pour effet d'augmenter la vitesse de décompression de la chambre (16) de détente et la vitesse de l'impulsion de pression transférée dans l'outil (10). L'invention concerne aussi un outil hydraulique comprenant un générateur d'impulsions (2), et un procédé de génération d'impulsions dans un outil brise-roches.
