A stabilized electrocoagulation printing ink comprises a liquid colloidal dispersion containing an electrolytically coagulable colloid, a dispersing medium, a soluble electrolyte, a coloring agent and a sequestering agent for complexing metal ions generated during electrocoagulation printing. The sequestering agent is present in an amount to prevent the metal ions from causing the colloid to undergo undesirable cross-linking, without adversely affecting electrocoagulation of the colloid.

Une encre stabilisée d'impression par électrocoagulation est à base d'une dispersion colloïdale liquide renfermant un colloïde coagulable par électrolyse, un milieu de dispersion, un électrolyte soluble, un colorant, et un séquestrant pour former des complexes avec les ions métalliques produits lors de l'impression par électrocoagulation. La quantité de séquestrant présente empêche la réticulation non souhaitable du colloïde par les ions métalliques, sans toutefois altérer l'électrocoagulation du colloïde.
