The present invention relates to an insecticidal composition comprising (a) 0.1-10% by weight of 2,4-dioxo-1-(2-propynyl)imidazolidin-3-yl chrysanthemate, (b) 2.5-50% by weight of a fatty acid ester of 16-19 carbon atoms, (c) 2.5-30% by weight of a sorbitan fatty acid ester, (d) 0.5-1% by weight of at least one alcohol selected from the group consisting of ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, butylene glycol and glycerin and (e) 40- 93.5% by weight of a saturated hydrocarbon of 8-18 carbon atoms; an insecticidal aerosol composition comprising 5-30% by weight of said insecticidal composition, 40-85% by weight of water and 10-50% by weight of a propellant; and a method for controlling harmful insects which comprises applying said insecticidal aerosol composition to them. The present insecticidal aerosol composition is stable i.e. the separation into aqueous phase and organic phase occurs at a very low rate after shaking. Moreover, the insecticidal composition of the present invention which is pre-mix of the present insecticidal aerosol composition has little troubles such as precipitation while it is left to stand and is stable, therefore is a suitable starting composition for transportation and storage for the preparation of the insecticidal aerosol composition of the present invention.
L'invention concerne une composition insecticide renfermant : a) 0,1-10 % en poids de chrysanthémate 2,4-dioxo-1-(2-propynyl)imidazolidin-3-ylique; b) 2,5-50 % en poids d'un ester d'acide gras de 16-19 atomes de carbone; c) 2,5-30 % en poids d'un ester de sorbitan et d'acide gras; d) 0,5-1 % en poids d'au moins un alcool choisi parmi l'éthanol, le 1-propanol, le 2-propanol, l'éthylèneglycol, le diéthylèneglycol, le triéthylèneglycol, le propylèneglycol, le dipropylèneglycol, le butylèneglycol et la glycérine); e) 40-93,5 % en poids d'un hydrocarbure saturé de 8-18 atomes de carbone; une composition aérosol insecticide renfermant 5-30 % en poids de cette composition, 40-85 % en poids d'eau et 10-50 % en poids d'un propulseur; méthode pour exterminer des insectes nuisibles, consistant à pulvériser cet aérosol sur eux. La présente composition aérosol est stable, autrement dit la séparation en phase aqueuse et en phase organique se fait très lentement et après agitation. De plus, la composition insecticide de l'invention, qui est le pré-mélange de la présente composition aérosol insecticide, est très stable et ne présente que peu de trouble, comme des précipitations pendant qu'on la laisse reposer; elle constitue donc une excellente composition de départ pour le transport et le stockage en vue de la préparation de la composition aérosol insecticide de l'invention.
