The invention concerns a laminated glass pane (1) with at least one rigid glass pane (2) and an adhesive layer (3) assembled thereto by surface bonding, whereby a protective and/or functional sheet (4) is applied on the rigid glass pane (2), wherein the protective sheet (4) is recessed relative to an outer edge of the rigid glass pane at least in some parts (E), as well as with at least one retaining element (5) arranged on the edge of the rigid glass pane (2) in the region of the recess(es) of the protective sheet (4), in which the retaining element (5) has, in accordance with the invention, a thickness corresponding more less, but corresponding preferably mostly to the thickness of the adhesive layer (3) at the edge of the protective sheet and is partly covered by the protective sheet (4) at least in the parts defined.
