The present invention relates to a mandrel for producing a fibre-reinforced composite part (120), in particular a blade for a wind turbine. The mandrel comprises an expandable body (100) with an outer surface (101) onto which a fibre material of the fibre-reinforced composite part (120) is layable out. The expandable body (100) is expandable in an expanded state, wherein in the expanded state the outer surface (101) forms an interior shape (102) of the fibre-reinforced composite part (120) to be produced. Moreover, the expandable body (100) is collapsible in a collapsed state.
