Abstract A package system with substantially reduced weight and volume of the packaging to be disposed of comprises a han- dling portion (2) and a replaceable bag or similar soft package (1) taken up by the handling portion (2) and holding the contents. The soft package (1) has a ring (10) around an opening (14), and the handling portion (2) a base (5) and an opening (13). When the handling portion (2) takes up the soft package (1) the ring (10) on the opening (14) of the soft package lies on the edge (12) on the opening (13) of the handling portion (2). This fixes the soft package (1) within the handling portion (2). The closure for closing the soft package (1) taken up by the handling portion (2) has a closing member, e.g. a screw cap (16) which, in the closed position, urges the ring (10) on the opening of the soft package (1) against the edge (12) of the opening (13) of the handling portion (2) so that the ring (10) at the same time forms a seal.
