In an error control device, an error correction decoding portion 33 selects a bit position which has low reliability from the received signal by means of a predetermined bit number, generates error patterns by assuming that the errors exist at the bit position, and carries out Chase decoding for the received signals on the basis of each error pattern in Chase decoding portion 332. Chase decoding portion 332 calculates the reliability of each error pattern by using the reliability of each bit in the received signal.

Dans un dispositif de protection contre les erreurs, une partie décodage pour correction d'erreurs 33 choisit une position binaire de faible fiabilité du signal reçu au moyen d'un numéro de bit prédéterminé, génère des configurations d'erreurs en assumant que les erreurs existent à la position binaire, et exécute le décodage Chase pour les signaux reçus selon chaque configuration d'erreurs de la partie décodage Chase 332. La partie décodage Chase 332 calcule la fiabilité de chaque configuration d'erreurs en utilisant la fiabilité de chaque bit du signal reçu.
