Abstract of the Disclosure Novel imidazopyridine derivatives of the formula I Image (I) wherein R is Image and R1, R2, R3, R4, X and Y are as defined in Patent Claim 1, and their salts, exhibit antagonistic properties towards angiotensin II and can be used for the treatment of hypertension, aldosteronism, cardiac insufficiency and increased intraocular pressure, and of disorders of the central nervous system.
