A b s t r a c t Among the compounds expressed by the following general formula (I), certain ones were found to be particularly excellent antiviral action. ( I ) Image The present invention has been achieved by the fact that, when R is specified, excellent antiviral action is resulted. The antiviral action includes inhibitory action against HIV virus. Among the compounds of the present invention, particu- larly excellent ones are those wherein R is expressed as follows. Image or Image wherein R6 is hydrogen or lower alkyl; t is 1 or 2; --- is a single bond or a double bond; and R11 is chlorine or fluorine. - 32 -
