A multiple panel assembly which is an improvement in the panel assembly of U.S. Patent 3,430,997 in which the four parts of the patent forming the hanger bracket and connector assembly mounted on the opposing edges of two adjacent panel edges is replaced by a unique one-piece hanger bracket/connector strip (30). Such strip (30) is substantially less costly to manufacture and install on the panel (1, 2). Within a more narrow aspect of this invention, the wedging members (21, 22) that draw the panel edges (3, 4) toward each other are uniquely configured to accommodate use of the hanger bracket/connector strip (30) with the hanger bracket and connector assembly of U.S. Patent 3,430,997.

Cette invention concerne un assemblage de panneaux multiples qui consiste en une amélioration du brevet US 3.430.997. Cette amélioration tient au fait que les quatre parties décrites dans ce brevet et qui forment la console de suspension, ainsi que le système de connexion monté sur les bords opposés de deux panneaux adjacents sont remplacés par une bande unique et d'une seule pièce de type console/connecteur (30). Cette bande (30) est en effet moins coûteuse à fabriquer et à installer sur le panneau (1, 2).
