The present invention relates to a shank adapter for rock drilling machines. The shank adapter 10 comprises an elongate, suitably cylindrical body (11), which comprises two end portions (17,19) of which a first (17) has a thread (18) for connection of the shank adapter to a drill string, and a second (19) has means (21) for transfer of torque to the shank adapter and the drill string. The body is internally provided with an axially extending flushing channel (12), which terminates in an exit orifice (16) in said first end portion (17) of the body and in which flush medium can be introduced via at least one radially directed side-flushing hole (14). The radially external bordering edge of the side-flushing hole (14) follows a path that is substantially convex.
L'invention concerne un adaptateur de queue pour machines de forage de roches. Ledit adaptateur (10) comprend un corps allongé (11) de forme cylindrique adaptée, qui comporte deux parties d'extrémité (17, 19) dont une première (17) présente un élément (18) permettant le raccord de l'adaptateur de queue à un train de tiges, et une seconde (19) possédant un moyen de transfert de couple à l'adaptateur de queue et au train de tiges. Le corps contient un canal de rinçage s'étendant axialement (12) qui se termine dans un orifice de sortie (16) se trouvant dans ladite première partie d'extrémité (17) du corps et dans lequel le milieu de rinçage peut être introduit par au moins un orifice de rinçage latéral orienté radialement (14). Ledit bord externe radialement de l'orifice de rinçage latéral (14) suit un chemin sensiblement convexe.
