The invention concerns transgenic plant cells and plants having an increased glycolysis rate. The glycolysis rate is increased by the introduction and expression in plant cells of a DNA sequence which codes for an invertase, preferably a deregulated or unregulated invertase, and a DNA sequence which codes for a hexokinase, preferably a deregulated or unregulated hexokinase. The invention further concerns processes and recombinant DNA molecules for producing plant cells and plants having an increased glycolysis rate.
L'invention concerne des cellules végétales transgéniques et des plantes à taux de glycolyse augmenté. L'augmentation du taux de glycolyse s'obtient par introduction et expression dans des cellules végétales, d'une séquence d'ADN qui code une invertase, de préférence une invertase déréglée ou non réglée, ainsi que d'une séquence d'ADN qui code une hexokinase, de préférence une hexokinase déréglée ou non réglée. L'invention concerne en outre des procédés et des molécules d'ADN recombinées permettant de préparer des cellules végétales et des plantes à taux de glycolyse augmenté.
