The present invention relates to transgenic plants having a regulatory nucleic acid sequence according to SEQ ID NO:1 to 3, whereby said sequence is integrated into the genome in a stable manner after the transformation thereof, or a fragment or derivative thereof and a nucleic acid sequence that is functionally connected to said nucleic acid sequence and codes for a gene product. The present invention also relates to methods for producing the inventive transgenic plants and the nucleic acid sequences according to SEQ ID NO:1 to 3. The regulatory nucleic acid sequence relates to polynucleotides which naturally allow for an essentially root-specific expression of a foreign gene in plants of the species Arabidopsis thaliana.

L'invention concerne des plantes transgéniques ayant une séquence d'acides nucléiques régulatrice représentée par SEQ ID NO:1 à 3, intégrée de manière stable dans le génome après la transformation, ou son fragment ou dérivé et une séquence d'acides nucléiques liée fonctionnellement à cette séquence d'acides nucléiques et codant pour un produit génique. L'invention concerne également des procédés pour la production des plantes transgéniques selon l'invention, ainsi que les séquences d'acides nucléiques représentées par SEQ ID NO:1 à 3. La séquence d'acides nucléiques régulatrice concerne des polynucléotides permettant naturellement une expression largement spécifique de la racine d'un gène étranger dans des plantes du type Arabidopsis thaliana.
