Floor finishes can be stripped using a substantially nonchlorinated concentrate comprising a floor finish dissolver and an at least partially water-unactivated water thickener. The concentrate is diluted with water at an intended use location to activate the water thickener and noticeably increase within sixty minutes or less the viscosity of the resulting mixture, then applied to a hardened floor finish atop a floor and allowed to soften or dissolve the floor finish so that the finish may be removed from the floor.

Les enduits de sol peuvent être décapés à l'aide d'un concentré sensiblement exempt de chlore contenant un dissolvant pour enduit de sol et un épaississant à l'eau partiellement désactivé par l'eau. Le concentré est dilué avec de l'eau à l'emplacement d'utilisation prévu pour activer l'épaississant à l'eau. Il faut au maximum six minutes pour que la viscosité du mélange augmente sensiblement. Le mélange est ensuite appliqué sur un enduit de sol sec. Une fois le mélange appliqué, l'enduit de sol se ramollit ou se dissout et peut être enlevé.
