There is disclosed a method and apparatus for devising the financial aspects of a plan of benefits for a given population of employess in accordance with goals set by an employer (154) of the employees. This invention enters data into a memory (20) of a computer system reflective of the employees (20A), the costs of the benefits and the employers goals. Next, variables are defined and entered into the memory (20) reflecting the costs of the benefits, and a set of relationships is constructed of the cost variables in a manner to constrain the cost variables in accordance with the plan benefits, and a set of relationships is constructed of the cost variables in a manner to constrain the cost variables in accordance with the plan of benefits. Finally, the set of relationships is processed in the computer system to provide at least one set of solutions of the cost variables.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de concevoir les aspects financiers d'un régime d'avantages sociaux pour une population donnée d'employés conformément aux buts fixés par l'employeur (154) desdits employés. Selon cette invention des données concernant les employés (20A), le coût des avantages sociaux et les buts des employeurs sont saisies dans une mémoire (20) d'un système d'ordinateur. Ensuite, des variables sont définies et entrées dans la mémoire (20) concernant les coûts des avantages sociaux, et un ensemble de relations relatives aux variables de coûts est construit afin de à limiter lesdites variables de coûts des avantages sociaux offerts par le régime.
