A plurality of symbols are randomly generated and displayed (104). Upon a game- triggering event, the processor determines the transformation probability of a symbol displayed on gaming device (106). The processor then randomly determines whether to transform a symbol based on the transformation probability associated with that symbol (108). The processor transforms the symbol if the symbol is determined to be transformed (110). The processor makes an evaluation to determine if there are any winning combinations displayed on the gaming device (112). Upon determining the transformation probability for each symbol, the game ends (114).
