Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting cell growth in human small cell lung carcinoma, which composition comprises a cell growth inhibitory amount of a serotonin 5-HTID receptor antagonist naphthalene derivative of the formula: (See Fig. I) (wherein R1 is a N-containing cyclic group such as piperazino or piperidinyl, R2 is typically an aromatic or aromatic-substituted group and R3 is hydrogen or a substituent) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier.
On divulgue une composition pharmaceutique pour inhiber la croissance cellulaire dans le cancer pulmonaire à petites cellules chez les humains, laquelle composition comprend une quantité inhibitrice de la croissance cellulaire d'un antagoniste du récepteur 5-HTID de la sérotonine dérivé du naphtalène de formule : (Voir Fig. I) (où R1 est un groupe cyclique contenant de l'azote, comme un groupe pipérazino ou pipéridinyle, R2 est typiquement un groupe aromatique ou substitué par un aromatique et R3 est un hydrogène ou un substituant) ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de ce dernier, avec un diluant ou un véhicule pharmaceutiquement acceptable.
