Compounds represented by general formula (1) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. In said formula, X is CH, CH2, CHR (wherein R is lower alkyl or substituted lower alkyl), or CRR' (wherein R and R' are each as defined above as to R); Y is CH, CH2, or C=O; Z is O, S, S=O, or SO2; U is C or N; R1 to R4 are each independently hydrogen, OR, SR (wherein R is as defined above), an aromatic ring, a heterocycle, or the like; and at least one of R5 to R8 is OH. The compounds exhibit excellent pharmacological activities such as relaxation of tracheal smooth muscle, suppression of respiratory tract hypersensitiveness, and inhibition of phlogocytic infiltration into the respiratory tract.

Les composés de cette invention sont dotés d'excellentes fonctions pharmacologiques telles que la fonction de relaxation des muscles lisses trachéaux, celle de suppression de l'hypersensibilité du tractus respiratoire et celle d'inhibition des infiltrations inflammatoires dans le tractus respiratoire.
