A finger-guided surgical instrument includes a thimble-like element being adapted to surround at least a portion of a surgeon's finger while at least partially exposing the ventral tactile portions of the distal phalanx thereof, so as to enable the surgeon to tactile sense a body location to be treated; an ejectable surgical tool being engaged within a housing being formed within, or connected to, a wall of the thimble-like element, so as to enable the surgeon to operate the body location.
