A scroll-type fluid displacement apparatus includes a housing, and first and second scroll members at an angular and radial offset for forming fluid pockets, each scroll member having a spiral element. Bolts fasten the first scroll member to the housing. A seal groove is defined on an end surface of an end surface of the housing and an end surface of the first scroll member contacting with each other in the axial direction, at a position surrounding each of the bolts. A seal member is disposed in the seal groove. The seal member may be attached at a proper position in a proper condition prior to securing the bolts, and may be maintained to be in the proper condition after fastening. Thus, leakage from the housing through the bolt portions may be prevented.
