An optical panel (10) includes stacked optical waveguides (14) having stepped inlet facets (14a) collectively defining an inlet face (20) for receiving image light (16), and having beveled outlet faces (14b) collectively defining a display screen (22) for displaying the image light channeled through the waveguides by internal reflection.
