A removal resistant closure (32) and container assembly is provided. The container (30) defines an opening. The closure is applied to the container to occlude the opening. A first thread (51) is defined by the container and extends at least partially around the opening from a leading end (A) to a trailing end (C). A second thread (52) is defined by the closure and extends at least partially around the closure from a leading end (A) to a trailing end (C). A projection (C on 53) is defined adjacent one of the first and second threads. The projection (C on 53) and the one thread (e.g., 51) define a space between them which is less than the width of the other (52) of the threads. Either the projection (C on 53) or the other thread (52), or both, are resilient to accommodate deformation during relative rotational movement of the container and closure. When the closure and container are screwed together, the threads are relatively axially displaced from a threadingly engaged condition to a disengaged condition which resists re-engagement.

Cette partie saillante (C sur 53) sur l'un des filetages (51 par exemple) définit un écart, entre ces filetages, qui est inférieur à la largeur de l'autre (52) filetage. La partie saillante (C sur 53), ou bien l'autre filetage (52), ou les deux, sont élastiques, ce qui permet d'accepter une déformation pendant le mouvement de rotation du récipient par rapport au bouchon. Lorsque le bouchon est vissé sur le récipient, les filetages subissent un déplacement axial relatif entre une position vissée et une position dévissée qui n'admet plus le vissage.
