Methods and systems of controlling transmit power in a multi-user wireless communication system is provided. A transmit power level for a transmitter is determined according to an algorithm based in communication theory, such as an iterative water-filling procedure, which takes into account an assumption of transmit behaviours of transmitters in the communication system. Actual transmit behaviours of transmitters in the communication system are monitored using a learning algorithm to determine whether any transmitters exhibit transmit behaviours which are not consistent with the assumption.

Cette invention concerne des techniques et des systèmes de commande de puissance de transmission dans un réseau de communication sans fil mult-utilisateur. Un niveau de puissance de transmission est défini pour un émetteur-récepteur selon un algorithme basé sur une théorie de la communication, telle qu'une démarche "water-filling" itérative, prenant en compte une hypothèse quant aux comportements de transmission des émetteurs dans un système de communication. On surveille les comportements de transmission réels des émetteurs dans le système de communication au moyen d'un algorithme d'apprentissage afin de déterminer si certains émetteurs ont des comportements de transmission qui ne sont pas conformes à l'hypothèse retenue.
