The present invention is drawn to methods and compositions for suppressing cell death in plants. Specifically, novel proteins and genes are provided for use in plant transformation. The proteins and genes are useful for activating disease resistance, enhancing plant cell tninsformation efficiency, engineering herbicide resistance, genetically targeting cell ablations, and other methods involving the regulation of cell death in plants.

L'invention porte sur des procédés et compositions supprimant la mort cellulaire dans les végétaux. Il s'agit spécifiquement de nouvelles protéines et de nouveaux gènes utilisés pour transformer les végétaux. Ces protéines et gènes activent la résistance aux maladies, favorisent la transformation des cellules végétales, génèrent la résistance aux herbicides, ciblent génétiquement les ablations des cellules. L'invention porte également sur d'autres procédés régulant la mort cellulaire dans les végétaux.
