A curling shoe has an upper with a toe cap section having one layer of a hook and loop fastening material attached thereto and a circular disk shaped slider body having the other material thereon for mounting on the toe section of the upper to allow the upper to slide on the ice surface as the non-sliding foot in a curling action of the wearer. The layer on the toe section is larger than the slider body such that the slider body can be located on the toe section at one of a plurality of positions selected by the wearer depending upon the wearer's sliding action.
