Described is a method of preparing unsymmetrically substituted triazines of formula (I), in which R1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, R2 and R3, independently of each other, are an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group, by reacting a cyanoguanidine of formula (II) with a carboxylic acid derivative in the presence of an alcohol of formula (III), the method being characterized in that the reaction is carried out with a carboxylic acid ester of formula (IV), in which R3 is as defined above and R4 is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group, in the presence of a base or a carboxylic acid amide selected from the group comprising N,N-dialkylformamide, N,N-dialkylacetamide and N-methylpyrrolidone and in the presence of a salt or a salt-like compound of one of the elements magnesium, calcium, aluminium, zinc, copper, iron, cobalt, nickel and chromium.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de triazines substituées asymétriquement de la formule (I), dans laquelle R?1¿ désigne hydrogène, méthyle ou éthyle, R?2¿ et R?3¿ désignent, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, un reste hydrocarbure éventuellement substitué, par réaction de cyanoguanidine de la formule (II) avec un dérivé d'acide carboxylique en présence d'un alcool de la formule (III). Ce procédé se caractérise en ce que l'on fait réagir un ester d'acide carboxylique de la formule (IV), dans laquelle R?3¿ a la notation mentionnée ci-dessus et R?4¿ désigne un reste hydrocarbure éventuellement substitué, en présence d'une base ou d'un amide d'acide carboxylique sélectionné dans le groupe N, N-dialkylformamide, N, N-dialkylacétamide ou N-méthylpyrrolidone, et en présence d'un sel ou d'un composé du type sel de l'un des éléments suivants: magnésium, calcium, aluminium, zinc, cuivre, fer, cobalt, nickel ou chrome.
