In a telephone handset having an elongate housing which defines a cavity, wherein a microphone and a loudspeaker are arranged, the microphone is arranged air-tightly in a chamber of the housing by means of a flexible gasket. A portion of the gasket extends at least partially over the rear part of the microphone. In order to hold the microphone and the gasket under weak pressure and vibration-free in the chamber means engaging on this portion are provided, such as a separate plate. A printed circuit board arranged in the cavity can also be used for this purpose. The loudspeaker can be mounted in corresponding manner.

Une partie (13) du joint (8) recouvre au moins partiellement la partie arrière (28) du microphone (5). Afin de soumettre le microphone (5) et le joint (8) à une faible pression et de les mettre à l'abri des vibrations à l'intérieur de la chambre (10), on a prévu un élément tel qu'une plaquette rapportée (15) placée au contact de ladite partie (13) du joint. Une carte à circuits imprimés placée dans la cavité (3) peut également assurer cette fonction. Le haut-parleur (4) peut être monté de manière analogue.
