The present invention relates to a method and a device for measuring biomagnetic and in particular cardiomagnetic fields. The problem of known methods and devices lies in that the apparatus used have costly maintenance and in that significant measuring results can only be obtained in magnetically sheltered premises. The device and the method of the present invention allow for the detection of biomagnetic fields using particularly simple means even in non-magnetically sheltered premises. To this end, the device includes at least one superconducting quantum interferometer (SQUID) and is characterised in that said interferometer has a characteristic intensity-voltage curve which is hysteretic and in that means are provided for operating said interferometer according to a relaxation oscillation (RO) mode.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour mesurer des champs biomagnétiques, notamment cardiomagnétiques. Le problème des procédés et dispositifs connus réside dans le fait que les appareils utilisés sont coûteux à l'entretien et les résultats de mesure significatifs ne peuvent être obtenus que dans des locaux blindés magnétiquement. Le procédé et le dispositif selon l'invention permettent la détection de champs biomagnétiques avec des moyens particulièrement simples, même dans des locaux non blindés magnétiquement. A cet effet, le dispositif présente au moins un interféromètre quantique supraconducteur et est caractérisé en ce que cet interféromètre présente une courbe caractéristique intensité-tension hystérétique et en ce que des moyens sont prévus pour faire fonctionner cet interféromètre en mode oscillation de relaxation.
