ABSTRACT The present invention provides a process for recovering homogeneous metallic catalysts from catalytic reaction mixtures, in active form, suitable for immedi- ate re-use. The process comprises removing the reaction solution solvent, adding a lower alkanoic acid, and recovering the precipitated homogeneous catalyst.
