The invention relates to a method for synthesizing 4.beta.-amino-4'-démethyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxin of formula (1), characterized by comprising the following successive steps: a) reacting, in a pure weak acid or in a mixture consisting of acid, water and of organic solvent, without another solvent, at a temperature higher than the ambient temperature, thiourea with 4ß-halogenoacetamido-4'-demethyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxin, and; b) recovering the 4.beta.-amino-4'-demethyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxin.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de synthèse de la 4.beta.-amino-4'- déméthyl-4-desoxypodophyllotoxine de formule (1), caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes successives suivantes : a) réaction, dans un acide faible pur ou dans un mélange d'acide, d'eau et de solvant organique, sans autre solvant, à une température supérieure à la température ambiante, de la thiourée avec la 4.beta.-halogénoacétamido-4'-déméthyl-4- desoxypodophyllotoxine ; b) récupération de la 4.beta.-amino-4'-déméthyl-4- desoxypodophyllotoxine.
