A composition and method for treating bacterial infections by the use of an effective amount of at least one lytic specific for the bacteria causing specific. The lytic enzyme is genetically coded for by a bacteriophage which may be specific for said bacteria. The enzyme may be at least one lytic protein or peptides in a natural or modified form.

L'invention concerne une composition et un procédé de traitement d'infections bactériennes consistant à utiliser une quantité efficace d'au moins une lyse spécifique de la bactérie provoquant l'infection spécifique. L'enzyme lytique est génétiquement codée par un bactériophage qui peut être spécifique de ladite bactérie. L'enzyme peut être au moins une protéine lytique ou des peptides sous forme naturelle ou modifiée.
