A base reinforcement fiber sheet of carbon fibers, in which the carbon fibers are arranged uni-directionally via an adhesive layer on a support sheet, is wound on the surface of a portion of a concrete electric pole to be repaired. Then, a reinforcement fiber sheet of insulating fibers, in which the insulating fibers are arranged uni-directionally via an adhesive layer on a support sheet, is wound as the outermost layer to fully cover the carbon fibers. Either before or after the winding of the carbon fibers and insulating fibers, the fibers are impregnated with a thermosetting resin, which is then cured to obtain a fiber reinforced composite material. In this way, electric poles can be readily repaired to restore the mechanical strength thereof, and it is possible to provide an electric pole, which can prevent occasional accidents and ensure daily safety.
