Silanes of the general formula: (see fig I) are prepared wherein R1, R2 and R3 in the molecule are the same or different and represent alkyl groups with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R4 is a divalent hydrocarbon group with 3 to 14 carbon atoms, R5 is a group having the formula -O(CH2)b- or a polyether group having the formula -(OCnH2n) c-, wherein b has a value of 1 to 6 and, if R4 is a propyl group, b > 1, n has an average value of 2 to 2.5, and c has a value of 1 to 10, R6 is an -OSO3X group or an -OR7 group, wherein X is a hydrogen, an alkali or an optionally substituted ammonium ion, and R7 is an alkyl group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an acetyl group, a is 0 or 1, with the proviso that, when R6 represents the -OR7 group, a = 1. The silanes are biologically degradable, resistant to hydrolysis and have pronounced sufactant properties.

Préparation de silanes de formule générale : (voir fig. I), dans laquelle R1, R2 et R3 dans la molécule sont identiques ou différents et représentent des groupements alkyles ayant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone, R4 est un groupement hydrocarboné divalent ayant de 3 à 14 atomes de carbone, R5 est un groupement de formule -O(CH2)b- ou un groupement polyéther de formule -(OCnH2n)c-, dans laquelle b a une valeur de 1 à 6 et, si R4 est un groupement propyle, b>1, n a une valeur moyenne de 2 à 2,5, et c a une valeur de 1 à 10, R6 est un groupement -OSO3X ou un groupement -OR7, dans lequel X est un atome d'hydrogène, un alcali ou un ion ammonium facultativement substitué, et R7 est un groupement alkyle de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone ou un groupement acétyle, a est 0 ou 1, pourvu que, lorsque R6 représente le groupement -OR7, a=1. Les silanes sont biologiquement dégradables, résistants à l'hydrolyse et ont des propriétés tensioactives prononcées.
