The invention pertains to a system for handling casting molds both in making mold cavities and in casting, wherein interchangeable cassettes (8,14) that enclose the mold cavities can be inserted into matching positive guides (7a,7b; 13a,13b) in the casting device. To simplify and accelerate the work of making and adapting the mold cavities in such a handling system, the invention proposes that the clamping device in the machining station has cassette receptacles with positive guides that correspond to the positive guides (9a,9b; 15a,15b) of the cassettes (8,14).
