Control of emissions of volatile organic compounds which have been absorbed by glycol during contact with a wet gas stream such as a natural gas stream, while minimizing the contaminants in the water streams produced, is achieved by passing vented steam and gaseous volatile organics in line (170) of glycol regenerator (128) to successive air (176) and water-cooled (178) condensers. The condenser water stream (182) is passed to cooling tower (190) and then through the tower in counter-current or cross-current relation to stripping air (197). The stripped water stream (112) is used to cool water condenser (178).
