A batting swinging/hitting training apparatus includes an elongate pole held by an individual. A ball is suspended from the pole adjacent one of its ends by way of a line. The ball can be positioned in front of a batter at basically any desired height allowing the batter to swing at the stationary ball to practice their swing/hitting. Alternatively, the individual holding the pole can move the pole to cause the ball to swing along a generally horizontal circular path and cross a batter's path. The ball will discharge on slight impact from a bat thus allowing the batter to swing at the moving ball to practice thir swing/hitting.
