A pressure compression mould (30) for the production and/or revulcanisation of tires (10) where the compression mould forms a mould hollow space (34) where the pressure (P1) and the temperature can be regulated, and also where each of sidewall mould portions (36a, 36b) of the compression mould are designed with an elastic and flexible annular disc membrane which the sidewalls (14) of a tire placed in the mould is made to thrust against in order to control the outwardly directed tensile forces in the tire (10), is characterized in that at the membrane sides facing towards the mould hollow space (34) of the mould (30) is equipped with an annular disc-shaped membrane-protective plate in order to prevent direct contact between side faces of the tire and the respective membranes during the production/vulcanisation. The plate is split up, both in the radial and circular plane, into a series of smaller plates the free ends of which mutually overlap each other. When a tire is placed in the mould and the mould hollow space is pressure set, the sides of the tire are pressed outwards towards the plates which flex afterwards and furthermore the membrane is flexed outwards and is stretched. Thereby the direct contact between membrane and sides of the tire is avoided so that the sides of the tire are not vulcanised fast in the membrane, and the necessary flowing out of unvulcanised rubber is achieved.

Moule de compression (30) servant à produire et/ou à revulcaniser des pneus (10) et comprenant un espace de moulage creux (34), dans lequel on peut réguler la pression (P1) et la température et dont chacune des parties latérales (36a, 36b) comporte une membrane sous forme de disque annulaire, souple et élastique contre laquelle on fait venir en butée la paroi latérale (14) d'un pneu placé dans le moule, de manière à réguler les forces de traction dirigées vers l'extérieur et s'exerçant dans le pneu (10). Ce moule est caractérisé par le fait que les côtés des membranes dirigés vers l'espace creux (34) du moule (30) sont pourvus d'une plaque de protection de membrane en forme de disque annulaire, afin d'empêcher le contact direct entre les faces latérales du pneu et les membranes respectives pendant la production et/ou la vulcanisation. Cette plaque est divisée, à la fois dans un plan radial et dans un plan axial, en une série de plaques plus petites, dont les extrémités libres se chevauchent. Quand on place un pneu dans le moule et quand on met sous pression l'espace creux dudit moule, les côtés du pneu sont comprimés vers l'extérieur en direction des plaques qui, ensuite, s'infléchissent et, de plus, la membranes s'infléchit vers l'extérieur et s'étire. De ce fait, on évite le contact direct entre la membrane et les côtés du pneu, de façon que lesdits côtés ne sont pas vulcanisés dans la membrane et que l'écoulement du caoutchouc non vulcanisé se fasse vers l'extérieur.
