A method for recovering heavy oil including recovering an oil-water mixture from a well and separating oil from the oil-water mixture to produce an oil product and produced water. The produced water is separated into a series of produced water streams. Each produced water stream is directed into each of a plurality of interconnected evaporators in a multiple effect evaporator. A first produced water stream is heated and vaporized to form a first vapor stream. The first vapor stream then heats and vaporizes a second produced water stream to form a second vapor stream. This process may continue wherein the second vapor stream heats and vaporizes a third produced water stream. The vapor streams are condensed to form a distillate that is directed to a steam generator. The steam generator then heats the distillate and produces steam to inject into an oil injection well.
L'invention concerne un procédé de récupération d'huile lourde comprenant la récupération d'un mélange huile-eau à partir d'un puits et la séparation de l'huile du mélange huile-eau, de manière à produire un produit pétrolier et de l'eau produite. L'eau produite est séparée en une série de courants d'eau produite. Chaque courant d'eau produite est dirigé dans chaque élément d'une pluralité d'évaporateurs interconnectés dans un évaporateur à multiples effets. Un premier courant d'eau produite est chauffé et vaporisé de manière à former un premier courant de vapeur. Le premier courant de vapeur chauffe et vaporise ensuite un deuxième courant d'eau produite de manière à former un deuxième courant de vapeur. Ce processus peut se poursuivre, le deuxième courant de vapeur chauffant et vaporisant un troisième courant d'eau produite. Les courants de vapeur sont condensés de manière à former un distillat qui est dirigé vers un générateur de vapeur. Le générateur de vapeur chauffe ensuite le distillat et produit de la vapeur destinée à être injectée dans un puits d'injection d'huile.
