The present invention relates to the packing for an article such as a foodstuff. The packing is characterized in that it comprises a tongue (8) facilitating the opening of the packing, formed by making a cut (7) in a zone hermetically isolated from the remainder of the film (1) and extending from one edge of the film (1) in the initial state. The invention is applicable to packings under vacuum or with a modified atmosphere for foodstuff.
