PATENT OF INVENTION PROCESS FOR MEASURING THE CETANE NUMBER OF SUPPLY FUELS FOR DIESEL ENGINES AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THIS PROCESS. DESCRIPTIVE ABSTRACT The invention relates to the testing, monitoring and manufacture of fuels for diesel engines. According to the invention, automatic measurement takes place of the cetane number of a supply fuel for a diesel engine on the basis of the value of the cetane number of at least one reference fuel and on the basis of the respectively measured values of the autoignition delays of the reference fuel and the supply fuel. The diesel engine operates at a constant speed and with a constant volume compression ratio. The invention is used in monitoring and research laboratories, as well as in units for the production of fuels for diesel engines in installations for the treatment of crude.
