A method for determining a variance trend in schedule data includes retrieving schedule data comprising a task description of a task and a plurality of milestones associated with the task including a baseline milestone associated with a baseline deadline, a first updated milestone associated with a first updated deadline, and a second updated milestone associated with a second updated deadline. The method further includes calculating a first variance by comparing the first updated deadline to the baseline deadline, calculating a second variance by comparing the second updated deadline to the baseline deadline, automatically determining the variance trend in schedule data by comparing the first variance to the second variance, and automatically generating a display representing the variance trend.
Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant de déterminer une tendance aux écarts dans des données de planification, lequel procédé consiste à extraire des données de planification comprenant une description de tâche concernant une tâche et plusieurs sous-objectifs associés à cette tâche parmi lesquels un sous-objectif de base associé à une délai de base, un premier sous-objectif mis à jour associé à un premier délai mis à jour, et un second sous-objectif mis à jour associé à un second délai mis à jour. Le procédé consiste également à calculer un premier écart par comparaison du premier délai mis à jour avec le délai de base, à calculer un second écart par comparaison du second délai mis à jour avec le délai de base, puis à déterminer automatiquement la tendance aux écarts dans les données de planification par comparaison du premier écart avec le second écart, et à générer automatiquement un affichage représentant la tendance aux écarts.
