A roll of prestretched film of mono-oriented linear low-density polyethylene, which is stretched between 30% and 320% of its original length depending on the final product required. Stretching takes place in the machine direction (MD) at a two-step controlled stretching rate. By rewinding the film differentially, air is trapped in the layers of the roll, forming soft overlapped borders around the edge of the roll in order to produce a spongy, soft roll that prevents and resists damage in the event of falls owing to the absorption of shocks.

Cette invention concerne un rouleau de pellicule pré-étirée de polyéthylène basse densité linéaire étirable entre 30 et 320% de sa longueur d'origine en fonction du produit final souhaité. L'étirement s'effectue dans le sens machine (MD) à un rythme d'étirement commandé en deux étapes. Le rembobinage différentiel de la pellicule permet d'emprisonner de l'air entre les couches du rouleau et de former des bordures lisses repliées autour du bords du rouleau afin de produire un rouleau spongieux et lisse assurant une protection contre des dégâts provoqués par des chutes puisque il peut amortir les chocs.
