43-21(7922)A ABSTRACT A method for preparing a stabilized alkaline hydrogen peroxide containing bleaching bath is disclosed. Alkalimetal salts of diethylene triamine- pentamethylenephosphonic acid (DTPMA) act as stabilising and bleach protecting gents. The DTPMA is added to the bath together with the hydrogen peroxide. Ready-to-use hydrogen peroxide bleaching bath solutions containing from 0,5% to 5% of DTPMA and having a pH within the 4-7 range are also described.
