There is provided a method of preparation of 2,4,5-tribromopyrrols-3-carbonitrile compounds in a single step from their 2-trihaloacetylpyrrole-4-carbo- nitrile precursors. The 2,4,5-tribromopyrrole-3-carbo- nitrile compounds are useful as molluscicidal agents.
