The invention concerns the use of glycine betaine to eliminate physiopathological vascular diseases. The invention concerns the curative and preventive activity of glycine betaine in the pathogenesis of thromboembolic and hemostatic diseases of arterial or venous origin. Glycine betaine has a preventing activity by inhibiting the formation of thrombi and a curative activity inhibiting the proliferation of thrombi by eliminating them. The invention is characterised in that glycine betaine does not present any risk of haemorrhage or allergy contrarily to molecules and treatments currently used. The invention also concerns the use of glycine betaine as anticoagulant for blood preservation.

L'invention consiste en l'utilisation de la glycine bétaïne pour éliminer les atteintes physiopathologiques vasculaires. L'invention se rapporte à l'activité curative et préventive de la glycine bétaïne dans la pathogénie des maladies thrombo-emboliques et hémostasiques d'origine artérielle ou veineuse. La glycine bétaïne a une activité préventive en empêchant la formation des thrombi et une activité curative empêchant la prolifération des thrombi en les détruisant. L'intérêt de l'invention réside dans le fait que l'utilisation de la glycine bétaïne ne présente aucun risque hémorragique ou allergique par opposition aux molécules et traitements actuellement utilisés. L'invention consiste également en l'utilisation de la glycine bétaïne comme anti-coagulant pour la conservation du sang.
