ABSTRACT In a stationary deep-freeze plant, ice is produced, which is then processed into artificial snow in stationary or mobile ice-crushing apparatus. The artificial snow may then be deposited at the desired location by a full-track ski-run vehicle and compacted. By means of this method, all of the snow produced comes to lie where it is actually de- sired. Moreover, no water-pipe system is required for pro- ducing artificial snow, and production is independent of weather conditions.
