A display apparatus (10) having a transparent image screen (24) which contains a mosaic of four discrete images formed from pixels which are interwoven in a predetermined arrangement such that each of the images are selected by precise positioning of the screen (24) in four different positions relative to a grid mask (26) which masks out all but pixels of a selected image. A platen structure (20) mounts the image screen (24) and is moveable through a precise pattern for selecting the pixels, and thereby the image, to be projected. A pair of arms (30, 32) are coupled to the platen (20) and an eccentric drive (86) and are driven by the eccentric drive (86) to advance the platen (20) positively through the pattern.

Le dispositif de visualisation (10) comporte un écran image transparent (24) contenant une mosaïque de quatre images discrètes constituées de pixels dont la disposition correspond à une structure d'entrelaçage prédéterminée. Cette disposition fait que chacune des images est sélectionnée par positionnement précis de l'écran selon quatre positions différentes par rapport à une grille masque (26). Celle-ci ne laisse passer que les pixels de l'image sélectionnée. Une structure en plaque (20) qui rehausse l'écran image (24) est mobile selon un déplacement spécifique prévu pour sélectionner les pixels et partant, l'image à projeter. Deux bras (30, 32) sont couplés à la plaque et à un excentrique (86). Ces deux bras sont mus par l'entraînement excentrique (86) pour faire progresser la plaque (20) de façon positive en respectant le déplacement prévu.
